Kendal McWade turned professional in 1978, but despite being totally committed
to perfecting his golf swing and becoming the best player he could, his experiences
with the game left him feeling disillusioned and frustrated.
He knew that none of his other sports had been learned in the manner that golf had, and he knew that couldn't be right. So he set out discover why! His 12 year + journey led to the founding of Instinctive Golf Coaching and to what Kendal believes is the worlds most natural and empowering coaching "method". Kendal has now worked with 1,000's of golfers of all standards, from the complete novice through to Ryder Cup stars like Paul McGinley.
Kendal now delivers his message to professionals throughout Europe as part of the PGA's Continual Development Program. IGC is undoubtedly at the cutting edge of golf coaching and Kendal is totally committed to helping as many golfers as possible have more fun learning and playing this great game.
IGC’s unique and empowering corporate events have now seen Kendal work with some
of the biggest names in the UK business world, including a remarkable event sponsored
by Chivas Regal, the Scottish whisky giant. "The Chivas Snow Golf Championship" in
St Moritz sees Kendal and the two Pauls give golfers from all over the world
a flavour of Instinctive Golf 4,000ft up in the Swiss Alps on a golf course constructed
entirely from snow!
Kendal's vision is to take IGC’s coaching model and apply it to other sports, businesses and education.

Paul Affleck has been a professional golfer for twenty years - during that time
he has experienced the incredible high and low extremes that only the sport of
golf seems to expose us to.
In 2002 he became an invaluable member of the Instinctive Golf Team, and when was asked why he had joined, he stated, "because I believe it is quite simply the most empowering and effective way to learn golf".
As a PGA Tour Professional he played with Europe's best golfers in
over 200 European tour events, including 3 Open Championships, and represented
his country, Wales, on 2 occasions in the Alfred Dunhill Cup at St Andrews.
Paul joined Instinctive Golf so he could be part of what he believes to be the
most effective way to learn golf.
Through his own golfing experiences he realised that golf coaching was far less
about giving information to the pupil and far more about developing the pupil's
skill. He now believes Instinctive Golf is the future of golf coaching and the
way in which every golfer can most effectively gain more skill and thus more
enjoyment in their golf.
Paul is now part of the R&A's Development Team committed to promoting golf in
countries such as Venezuela and Bolivia. As part of the 2005 programme Paul played
La Paz, the highest golf course in the world, and during the trip he holed a
4 wood for an albatross two on a 600 yard par 5. The ball does travel a very
long way at 5000 feet above sea level, but nevertheless it was still a magnificent
piece of skill.
Paul
has recently been following the European Tour, introducing some of Europe's top
players to his coaching philosophy.
He has written a blog about his exploits, here is a brief sample:
"It's been a very hectic last few weeks of airports, hotels and golf courses,
so it's felt like I was back playing on the European Tour!!! The reality is I've
been coaching on tour and even though many of the players' faces have changed
since I last played on tour in the 2000 season, it's been amazing to say hello
to many of the same faces as well."
